doc gary looks at the x-ray and points to a big blob above some other big blob and says,
it's strange, this is swollen and there's all this gas.
cirlce gestures that make no sense follow.
pause.
(of course, the dvm in me is totally flattered).
blink blink.
because it might as well be an x-ray of the universe.
that black hole looks angry, saturn looks totally tilted and good god, his bones look like wings that could soar us straight to the 4th dimension.
should i be thinking this?
please just make him better.
one of doc's adopted stray cats, warren, is sniffing around behind doc's building where there's a clump of unkempt trees and bushes with some clothes and plastic bags and other stray crap.
there's a weed stretching out all over it, like kudzu, but not nearly as macho.
anyway, i'm saying hey to warren, who is so handsome, and there's a little flash of orange something . oh look! 2 little seed pods. i wrap up the cat chat with warren and snap the vine with the 2 pods that look like lanterns. or balloons. or maybe a really small squash.
next morning, which is this morning, holden did not throw up on the rug, or anything else.
